April Matches and waiting for Isabella's MeiMei

Our first adoption group #630 with CCAI was a total of 7 families. Three of us are currently adopting a second time. One family recently returned with their daughter Wren and another family is waiting for the next match group from CCAA for a new daughter. That would the be the aforementioned Isabella's MeiMei.

Our family refers to the other girls adopted from the same orphanage with our DD Kassidy as cousins. We speak to Natalie (Isabella's MaMa) very regularly and Karen (Robin - Kassidy's cousin & Wren's new MaMa) a few times a year. They both reside in Colorado and feel like a world away. We are excited that Karen & her husband are home with their new daughter. And especially glad that Karen is feeling better. She returned home very sick and ended up in ICU. We spoke last week and she is now on the mends! Whew! We were worried and sent our prayers to her every day.

Now Natalie (Isabella's MaMa) is waiting on pins & needles for the next batch to arrive from China. Their LID is 10/31/05 and we are hoping they will be included in the next group. We had a false alarm earlier this week we then rumor mill thought the package in the mail from CCAA was referrals. It turned out to be TA (travel announcements) which is wonderful for the families that were waiting from the last match groups. But we are still hoping for Natalie & her family that they will hear late this week or early next week.

When I refer to the Rumor Mill I am mostly looking at three sites, Rumor Queen and two Yahoo groups. Rumor Queen is a wonderful community and I am bless to have found it with the wait time extending so dramatically during this adoption for Rorrie.

So prayers are what keeps me running today. Sunday is Easter and I have resigned myself that we will have one more Easter next year to live through before we finally get to meet Rorrie. It is funny because it was during Easter dinner when we told our families that we were adopting Kassidy. And now I am counting Easter dinners as a bench march for our wait for Rorrie.
