We are through Review!

Today is the day and it is one of the four important dates in the adoption journey! We have finally made it through critical review at CCAA in China!

The next set of referrals are arriving today/tomorrow! The match date is 11/14/05 which is one week's worth of referrals from last month. It appears that it will take five months to make it through November 2005. We can expect to probably have another two or three day match around the 11/22/05 log in dates.

We are extremely happy that our review is finished - and in record time - only 14 or 15 days from the time they updated the end of the month for April 2006. So it means that either May is very light - or that they were working on May for some time while one or two reviewers were stuck in April 2006 for a while.

My current predictions on wait is really pushing 2008 out the window. We will really be lucky to get matched before the end of 2008. CCAI still says that we might get matched the end of Fall 2008 but that really only works based on BEST case guesses!

This is the BEST case table. Which would have us matched in November 2008 - so there would be a very small chance we would travel in 2008 - but it would depend on if matches were early in the month or not. It would be difficult to travel over Christmas because of our two little ones at home, but obviously an adoption before the end of 2008 would be incredible!

So that is the current outlook. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
